Community pharmacists have been invited to join a live Q&A on Sunday evening (5 March) with PSNC chief executive Janet Morrison and director of pharmacy funding Mike Dent, as part of a conference hosted by pharmaceutical company Sigma.
Sigma described the question-and-answer session as a ‘golden opportunity to share what's on your heart and to voice your fears and concerns for pharmacy, as we go forward into the challenges facing all independents’.
The Q&A session with PSNC will be broadcast live from the Sigma conference in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Other speakers at the conference will include Sigma executive director Hatul Shah and co-founders Manish Shah, Kamal Shah and Bharat Shah CBE.
Delegates will also hear from Professor David Taylor, Dr Leyla Hannbeck of the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp), Andrew Lane of the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) and Professor Mahendra Patel OBE.
Government and NHS representatives including chief pharmaceutical officer for England David Webb and Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee Steve Brine will also be speaking to conference attendees via video.
The conference will also cover themes such as hub and spoke, regulation, and supply, with speakers from GPhC, the British Generic Manufacturers Association and the Healthcare Distribution Association also in attendance.
These other sessions will not be livestreamed, but The Pharmacist will be reporting from the conference.
